ISO 22000 specifies requirements for a food safety
management system in the food chain where an
organisation:
- needs to demonstrate its ability to control
food safety hazards in order to consistently provide
safe end products that meet both customer
and food safety regulatory requirements;
-aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the
control of food safety hazards;
ISO 22000 may apply to all types of organisations
in the food chain from feed producers, food manufacturers,
transport and storage operators, retail and food
service outlets subcontractors and even organisations
such as producers of food processing equipment,
packaging materials, cleaning agents, additives
and ingredients.
